One of two well-stocked Spanish delicatessens on Portobello Road, La Plaza looks like a corner shop filed with the most tempting of Galician delicacies. Cured hams and huge paella pans hang from ceiling hooks, while the shelves are tightly packed with Santiago almond tarts, salted almonds, saffron, paella rice, Rioja, Manzanilla sherry, pimientos, tinned octopus and olives oils.
